Bengaluru - High Density Corridors Documents
High density corridors were corridors with high traffic identified by the GoK and marked for improvement. These include the major arterial roads - Tumkur Road, Mysore Road, Bellary Road, Old Madras Road, Old Airport Road, Hosur Road, Bannerghatta Road and Kanakapura Road. These are connected by the Outer Ring Road. The commissioner of police notified 12 such roads as High Density Roads in 2016. In an order from 06-11-2019 these HDCs were handed over to Karnataka Road Development Corporation Limited for development and maintenance. This DPR is for that. -
Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill 2024
The Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill 2024 was introduced by the Government of Karnataka aims to: (i) establish the Greater Bengaluru Authority for co-ordinating and supervising the development of the Greater Bengaluru Area; (ii) establish not more than ten City Corporations in the Greater Bengaluru Area for effective, participatory and responsive governance; (iii) empower Ward Committees to become basic units of urban governance and facilitate community participation; (iv) integrate and streamline political accountability of all public authorities delivering services in the Greater Bengaluru Area; (v) improve the quality of life of all citizens by instituting a decentralised, participative, efficient and equitable governance framework for Bengaluru; and (vi) provide for matters incidental thereto.
